Starting pitcher Joe Johnson took care of business, helping the Boise Hawks stifle the Los Angeles N (SS-A) Dodgers, 2-0. Boise reliever Ramon Alvarez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Travis Duranceau absorbed the loss. Shamar James, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.

Boise used a timely hit from Miguel Aponte to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Aponte.

This win makes it 5 in a row for Boise.
