Yard Goats Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Hartford Yard Goats did just enough to nip the Akron RubberDucks, 8-7, in 10 innings. Hartford pitcher Jesus Medina, in particular, had a standout performance. For Akron, now 4-18, the season is off to a dismal start.

Mike Modic came through with a big-time hit for Hartford. The catcher smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Hartford field general Geghetsik Kazaryan.
