Brewers Wiggle Past Vancouver, 3-2
The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers, despite a fine performance by Vancouver pitcher Jason Kemp, grabbed a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Fremont. Kemp allowed 1 run over 7 innings. The winner was Milwaukee (SS-A) reliever Raul Gamboa, now 2-3. The loser was Bert Betts. The win elevated the Brewers to 26-22.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, 21-year old left fielder Eric Lowe had a chance to be the hero. Vancouver pitcher Willie Santiago had other ideas. But with one out, Lowe hit a sacrifice fly. The Brewers had themselves a dramatic win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Lowe said.
