5-for-5 Day for Cuevas
|
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Pablo Cuevas is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes at Volcanoes Stadium today. The monster effort from the 22-year-old shortstop helped the Spokane Indians take the win, 3-2.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Volcanoes manager Josh McAdams. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Pablo Cuevas doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season Cuevas is hitting at a .276 pace with 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and has scored 12 times.
