Braves Go 10 Innings to Beat Spokane, 4-2
|
Atlanta (SS-A) Braves starter Doug Mertz pitched his team past the Spokane Indians, 4-2, in 10 innings. With the win, Atlanta (SS-A) has a record of 18-31. Spokane falls to 30-19.
Atlanta (SS-A) used a timely hit from Cory Conley to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Braves ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Atlanta (SS-A) manager Terrell Hagans. "It's usually not just one thing."
