Ricky Barrios pitched a dandy of a game to help the Hillsboro Hops beat the Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers, 2-1. The save was credited to Jose Nieves, his 2nd.

Jordan Vedder, who is tied for 10th in the NWL with a .372 on-base percentage, came through for Hillsboro with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. The first baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 RBI.
