Hops Suffer 2-0 Loss to AquaSox
|
Everett Memorial Stadium featured a tense pitchers' duel.
Rob Wilbur was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Everett Memorial Stadium. In fact, the Everett AquaSox right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-0 victory over the Hillsboro Hops. The victory gives Everett a record of 28-21.
The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the ninth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Hillsboro trailing 2-0, Darryl Cobb needed to get a big out. On a 0-2 cutter, Jonathan Parra struck out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.
