Minnesota (SS-A) took on Everett in front of a lively crowd.

Minnesota (SS-A) shortstop Carlos Mandez was instrumental in helping the Twins triumph, 10-6, over the Everett AquaSox. Mandez went 3-6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Everett's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

Neal Widger had a big bases-clearing triple for the Twins in the top of the fifth inning. With Minnesota (SS-A) trailing 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a circle change from 23-year old right-handed pitcher John Sanborn and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 4-2.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Widger.
