Volcanoes Come Up Short at Chicago A (SS-A), 6-5
Chicago A (SS-A) picked up a win at Ballpark of Jersey City, bumping off the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, 6-5. Pitcher Juan Bedolla was a major reason the White Sox emerged victorious. Chicago A (SS-A) goes to 32-18. The win puts them 7½ games up in their division.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Jonathan Gurule came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Salem-Keizer pitcher Daniel Roth, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago A (SS-A) on top, 4-3.

"Big team win," Gurule said later.
