Dodgers Get Past Boise for 2-1 Win
Runs were scarce at Memorial Stadium.

The Los Angeles N (SS-A) Dodgers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Victor Skinner, who muffled the Boise offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Dodgers win at Memorial Stadium. Los Angeles N (SS-A) reliever Jose Esparza picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Danny Rodrigues took the loss. Bill Pavek earned the save for Los Angeles N (SS-A), his 4th of the year.

Los Angeles N (SS-A) used the timely hitting of Justin Mateo to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Victor made some good pitches in some situations he needed to make them in," said Los Angeles N (SS-A) manager Zach Turner.

The second-place Hawks have lost 6 straight games.
