Indians Get Better of Volcanoes, 3-2
|
Spokane Indians starter Andrew Ameling hurled his team past the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, 3-2. In 6.1 innings, Ameling surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Chris Greenway earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.
Jeremy Clouser took Salem-Keizer hurler Mike Aylward deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Indians on top, 2-0. In all, Clouser had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Hats off to Andrew," said Spokane manager Jimmy Terrell. "He was good."
Spokane bumps their record to 31-25 with the win.
