The Tri-City Dust Devils grabbed a win, 10-2, over the Eugene Emeralds at Gesa Stadium. Tri-City center fielder Tony Rosas went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Santiago Paniagua, now 3-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. The second-place Dust Devils lifted their record to 35-21.
Jan Nelson, who is tied for 4th in the NWL in RBI with 38, aided the Tri-City cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Tri-City manager Jason Sloan.
