AquaSox Sting Dust Devils, 6-1
|
The Everett AquaSox defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils by the score of 6-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Bill Serrano. Serrano was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the AquaSox on the day. Everett, at 21-35, occupies last place in the West Division.
Rich Diaz, who is tied for 4th in the NWL in home runs with 8, took Tri-City hurler Jose Castaneda deep in the top of the first. His 3-run home run put the AquaSox on top, 3-0. In all, Diaz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Our offense was purring," said Everett manager Jose Ursua. "Like a well-oiled machine."
