AquaSox Capture Close Win
|
Conditions were not ideal but Everett and Milwaukee (SS-A) were able to put their game in the books.
In a low-scoring contest between the Everett AquaSox and the Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers, J.J. Rasche was the X factor. The Everett right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Joe Durnin, now 3-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 1.
Zack DiPilato was the walk-off hero for Everett. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the AquaSox first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
DiPilato called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
The AquaSox improved to 31-24.
