Volcanoes Score Late to Beat Twins, 2-1
Starting pitcher Eric Ervin gave the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the Minnesota (SS-A) Twins, 2-1, in 10 innings. The win went to Nick Nagy in relief, making him now 6-1. Justin Brown took the loss for Minnesota (SS-A). With the win, the Volcanoes sit at 30-24.

Salem-Keizer used the timely hitting of Gavin Wenk to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Volcanoes on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Eric was strictly business," said Salem-Keizer field general Josh Gilmore.
