Runs were plentiful at PK Park.

The performance of Chris Taylor proved critical in helping Salem-Keizer beat Eugene, 13-10, in 13 innings. The Volcanoes designated hitter was 4 for 8 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Firmino Verdemilho earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 3-1.

Salem-Keizer used a timely hit from Ryan Killian to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Volcanoes ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Killian. "I think we showed that here."

At 32-25, the Volcanoes claim second place in the West Division.
