Chicago A (SS-A) Beats Cincinnati (SS-A) in Extra Innings
|
Led by Aaron Hutchinson, the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox defeated the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds, 8-4. Hutchinson, a native of San Antonio, Texas, went 2-6 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the White Sox. Ryan Mays picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Mike Jones was tagged with the loss. Chicago A (SS-A) has now won 5 in a row.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Hutchinson delivered big-time for Chicago A (SS-A), stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Mike Jones. The game-changing hit put the White Sox on top, 8-4.
"It's a good feeling when you fight so hard and win," said White Sox manager Filip Nabben.
