Minnesota (SS-A) got a strong outing from Jason Reisinger as the Twins defeated the Kansas City (SS-A) Royals, 3-2, at Melaleuca Field. Minnesota (SS-A) reliever Dustin Caudill picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kenji Nakamoto absorbed the loss. Dan Arrieta nailed down his 4th save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Felipe Galicia? The 21-year old catcher Galicia stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Minnesota (SS-A) up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Reisinger.

The Twins saw their win-loss record go to 28-31. At the same time, the Royals fell to 37-23.
