Vancouver turned a good effort from starter Mario Pera into a win over the Boise Hawks at Nat Bailey Stadium. The Canadians won the game, 3-2. Boise now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

B.J. Cooke dealt the Hawks a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Vancouver leading 1-0, Cooke hit a full count knuckle curve for a run-scoring single.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Pera.
