Los Angeles A (SS-A) Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
The Spokane Indians took on the Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels at Avista Stadium.
The Spokane Indians beat the Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels, 10-1. Spokane pitcher and CĂșa, Venezuela, native Willie Beltran led the way. In 5.1 innings, Beltran surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run.
Mark Edelen had a big bases-clearing double for the Indians in the bottom of the first inning. With Spokane leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Danny Rosado and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Indians ahead, 4-0.
"We took it on the chin tonight," said losing manager Luke Logan.
Spokane sits in second place in the East Division at 38-22.
