Hillsboro Hops pitcher Josh Holloway was in top form, leading his team past the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds, 3-1. The winner was Holloway. He threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Juan Ibarra. The Hops, at 30-30, sit in second place in the East Division.

Josh Rosenthal had a big 2-run double for the Hops in the bottom of the third inning. With Hillsboro leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Ibarra and swatted a double to right. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hops ahead, 3-0.

"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Hillsboro skipper Carlos Diaz.
