Hops Suffer 10-6 Setback
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Everett AquaSox defeated the Hillsboro Hops, 10-6. Doing his part was catcher Josh Meyer, who went 1-1 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Wade Matthews, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Meyer hit a sinker from Danny Fugman for a grand slam home run. The AquaSox, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Meyer. "Maybe this win will help."

Everett is in last place in the West Division with a record of 23-39.
