Brewers Get 4-3 Win Versus Vancouver
|
The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers topped the Vancouver Canadians, 4-3, in Northwest League action at Nat Bailey Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Milwaukee (SS-A) pitcher and Jacksonville, Florida, native Rick Salas. Salas yielded 2 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 4-1. Bill Lewis closed it out for his 1st save.
Milwaukee (SS-A) used a clutch at-bat from Frank Quinones to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Brewers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Feels good to get the job done," Quinones said after the game.
Milwaukee (SS-A) bumps their record to 34-29 with the win.
