Hops Fall to Brewers Late
The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers took Hillsboro pitcher Carlos Landeros's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ron Tonklin Field. The final score had Milwaukee (SS-A) getting past the Hops, 4-2. Landeros went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 6. Getting the save was Bernalldo Shwerin, his 4th. The first-place Brewers go to 38-26.

Kauno Rekiaro came through with a big-time hit for Milwaukee (SS-A). The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Rekiaro said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
