Indians Sneak By Royals, 5-4
The Spokane Indians polished off the Kansas City (SS-A) Royals by the score of 5-4. The largest share of the credit belonged to center fielder Conor Conley. Conley was 2 for 5 with 2 triples, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Indians. Jose Obeso snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Mieko Mori suffered the loss. The save was credited to Chris Carson, his 9th.

Conley had a timely hit for Spokane in the top of the ninth. With Spokane trailing 3-1, he turned a first pitch splitter into a bases-clearing triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season, making it 4-3, Spokane.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Indians manager Adam Leporati.

With the win, the Indians have a record of 40-22.
