Cox goes 3-for-4, White Sox Move to 41-23
|
Chicago A (SS-A) catcher Tyson Cox was a significant contributor in his team's 11-7 triumph over the Tri-City Dust Devils. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the White Sox. Alberto Pacheco got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Dust Devils to 4 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The first-place White Sox lifted their record to 41-23.
Ken Norris went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Chicago A (SS-A). The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring single off Jim Unknown. It was his 30th hit of the season.
"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Cox told the Chicago A (SS-A) Daily News.
