Canadians Snag 3-1 Win
The Minnesota (SS-A) Twins and Vancouver Canadians were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

In a low-scoring affair between the Vancouver Canadians and the Minnesota (SS-A) Twins, pitcher Manuel Lara was the difference between victory and defeat. The Vancouver right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 Canadians win. The winning pitcher was Lara, now 4-3. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. Angel Arellano earned the save for Vancouver, his 6th.

Vancouver used the timely hitting of Joe Miller to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Canadians on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Miller told a Vancouver Gazette reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.

The Canadians raised their record to 42-23.
