Late Magic Gets Everett 1-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring game between Everett and Atlanta (SS-A), pitcher Chad Barcik was excellent. The Everett right-hander helped his team knock off the Braves, 1-0. Everett, at 25-41, holds down last place in the West Division.
Keith Burchfield was the walk-off hero for Everett. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the AquaSox right fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"The ending was a real humdinger," Burchfield told reporters after the game.
