Hawks Sneak By Brewers, 1-0
|
The Boise Hawks, despite a fine performance by Milwaukee (SS-A) pitcher Andy Dale, grabbed a 1-0 win at Ballpark of Fremont. Dale allowed no runs over 7 innings. Boise has won 3 straight, while Milwaukee (SS-A) has lost 3 in a row.
Boise used the timely hitting of Curt Lowe to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hawks on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like our moxie," said Hawks manager Rob Procise.
