Jerry Gibson pitched well, but his team, the Spokane Indians, still dropped a 4-3 decision to the Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels at Avista Stadium. The third-place Angels sport a record of 41-35.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Francisco Galdamez? The 21-year old second baseman Galdamez stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Los Angeles A (SS-A) up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Galdamez. "But I have better dreams after a win."
