Reds Fall, 2-1, to Atlanta (SS-A)
|
In a well-pitched game between the Atlanta (SS-A) Braves and the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds, pitcher Josh Bearden was superb. The Atlanta (SS-A) right-hander helped his team win, 2-1. Matt Bolte finished the game for Atlanta (SS-A) and earned his 8th save. Cincinnati (SS-A), at 31-36, has lost 4 straight.
Beau Burns dealt the Reds a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Atlanta (SS-A) leading 1-0, Burns, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2104 draft, hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Cincinnati (SS-A) manager Kyle Macholl. "Obviously."
