Reds, Leeder Blast Braves, 10-2
|
The 2098 season is getting uglier for Atlanta (SS-A).
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds used an offensive barrage to beat the Atlanta (SS-A) Braves, 10-2, at Stallions Ballpark. Chris Leeder led the way, going 3-for-4 for Cincinnati (SS-A). Picking up the win was Jared Rushing. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 8 and walked 1. Santiago Cruz was credited with the save for Cincinnati (SS-A), his 1st of the season.
Enrique Oropeza, who is tied for 6th in the NWL in total bases with 116, helped out the Cincinnati (SS-A) cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"We put the pedal to the metal," said Oropeza.
Cincinnati (SS-A) is now 24-43.
