Cardinals Lose, 6-1, as Astros Rally
The Houston (GCL) Astros took on the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium.

The Houston (GCL) Astros picked up a win at Roger Dean Stadium, dropping the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals, 6-1. Angel Morales, who is tied for 6th in the GCL in quality starts with 8, was the difference-maker. Houston (GCL) pitcher Mike McCormick got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steve Harrison got the loss.

Houston (GCL) used the timely hitting of Motoki Oshima to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Astros on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We've got a great group of guys," Oshima said, "and we're having fun right now."

Houston (GCL) is 47-16 and St. Louis (GCL), with the loss, 33-30.
