Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Twins
|
The Minnesota (SS-A) Twins did just enough to sneak past the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 3-2, at Lancaster Grounds. Minnesota (SS-A) pitcher Jason Burgess, in particular, had a standout performance. Tony Casares snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 3-2 on the season. Minnesota (SS-A) is now 26-43.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Minnesota (SS-A) designated hitter Max Utting, facing Oscar Munoz, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Twins the 3-2 win.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Chicago A (SS-A) manager Filip Nabben.
