Canadians Walk It Off for 31st Win of Season
|
Nat Bailey Stadium played host to some dramatic action.
The Vancouver Canadians got a stellar effort from pitcher Jose Herrera, helping Vancouver score a win over the visiting Everett AquaSox, 3-2. Vancouver reliever Luis Rodas was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Oswald Miller took the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Vancouver shortstop Mitch Eiring, facing Oswald Miller, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Canadians the 3-2 win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Eiring said.
The last-place AquaSox have lost 4 straight games.
