Allen, Volcanoes Get 3-1 Win
|
The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes got a magnificent effort from pitcher Chase Allen, who kept Eugene hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Volcanoes win at PK Park. Reynaldo Vazquez got the save, the 4th for him this season. The second-place Volcanoes have won 6 in a row.
The Emeralds had few good swings against Allen, the left-hander, who threw 87 pitches over 7.1 innings. He allowed just no runs on 3 hits.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Allen said.
