Starting Pitcher Brent Arruda was lights out, as the Boise Hawks beat the Atlanta (SS-A) Braves, 5-1. Arruda, now 7-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 0, and allowing no runs. The slumping Braves have lost 6 straight.
Kevin Goll hit a run-scoring triple off Francisque Constantino in the bottom of the second, which put the Hawks in front, 1-0. Goll had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
