Atlanta (SS-A) Upended, 4-1, by Chicago A (SS-A)
|
Matt Wyatt, who is tied for 3rd in the NWL in innings pitched with 99.0, was locked in. The right-hander led the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox to a 4-1 win against the Atlanta (SS-A) Braves at Ballpark of Jersey City. Rod Gaona closed it out for his 7th save. The White Sox raised their record to 51-25.
The White Sox got a big at-bat from center fielder Danny Ramirez. For the game, Ramirez was 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Chicago A (SS-A) a 2-0 lead.
"I was hoping to make good contact," said Ramirez. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
