Minnesota (SS-A) Crafts 4-3 Win
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Ballpark of Jersey City.
The Minnesota (SS-A) Twins wiggled past the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 4-3, in 10 innings at Ballpark of Jersey City. The win was highlighted by the performance of Minnesota (SS-A) pitcher Nick Wickham. The Twins now own a record of 40-31.
Minnesota (SS-A) used the timely hitting of Ray Kowalczyk to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Twins on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Minnesota (SS-A) manager Justin Dupree.
