Reds Come Up Short at Milwaukee (SS-A), 5-4
|
The first-place Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers picked up another win.
The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers beat the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds, 5-4, at Ballpark of Fremont. Kory Kennedy starred for Milwaukee (SS-A). He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2. Bill Dobson picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Danny Samico suffered the loss. Hector Areyan earned the save for Milwaukee (SS-A), his 13th.
George Stanford went 1-3 with a double and a walk for Milwaukee (SS-A). The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Danny Samico. It was his 49th walk of the season.
"It was a good effort all around," said Kennedy.
Milwaukee (SS-A) bumps their record to 51-21 with the win.
