Dodgers Handed 3-1 Loss by Cincinnati (SS-A)
|
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds got a stellar effort from pitcher Brian Quinn, helping Cincinnati (SS-A) score a win over the visiting Los Angeles N (SS-A) Dodgers, 3-1. The winner was Quinn. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Ricky Urioste. Bobby Suter sewed up the save, his 9th.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Reds had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when left fielder Mitch Kuhl hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Ricky Urioste and made the score 2-1, Reds. Kuhl went 1 for 3.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Cincinnati (SS-A) skipper Kyle Macholl.
Cincinnati (SS-A) is now 33-39. Los Angeles N (SS-A) is 36-36.
