The Minnesota (SS-A) Twins topped the Vancouver Canadians, 5-3, in Northwest League action at Nat Bailey Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Minnesota (SS-A) pitcher Fernando Rivera. The winning pitcher was Rivera, now 2-2. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5.
