Reds Rally to Nose Past Salem-Keizer
|
Cincinnati (SS-A) registered a win at Stallions Ballpark by beating the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, 4-3. Pitcher Jimmy Amaral was one reason why the Reds triumphed. The win makes Cincinnati (SS-A) 45-30.
Tony Varela was the walk-off hero for Cincinnati (SS-A). With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Reds designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Jimmy was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Cincinnati (SS-A) manager Kyle Macholl.
