Indians Knock Off Dust Devils, 3-2
|
In a tight tilt between the Spokane Indians and the Tri-City Dust Devils, Glenn Roberson was the deciding factor. The Spokane right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The winner was Roberson. He threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Jim Unknown. David Ruff picked up the save for Spokane, his 6th of the year.
The Indians got a big at-bat from third baseman Kevin Lloyd. For the game, Lloyd was 1-4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Spokane a 3-1 lead.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Lloyd.
The Indians, at 47-28, sit in first place in the East Division.
