Indians Curb Hawks, 3-1

The Spokane Indians picked up a win at Avista Stadium, knocking off the Boise Hawks, 3-1. Starting pitcher Philip Yniguez was a big reason why. Spokane reliever Pat Daily was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Armando Aragon took the loss. Bryan Tuite earned save number 11 this season.
Mike Cooper was 1 for 3 for Spokane. In the bottom of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Cooper delivered for the Indians. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Spokane on top, 2-1.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Indians manager Ladgie Zotyka, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
The Indians have now won 9 straight.
