The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers topped the Spokane Indians, 7-4, in Northwest League action at Ballpark of Fremont. The standout performance belonged to Milwaukee (SS-A) pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Jose Mercado. Tony Obando picked up the win in relief. Jake Herley took the loss for Spokane. The Brewers are now 37-38.

Alexis Penunuri swatted a 2-run double for Milwaukee (SS-A) in the bottom of the eighth. The second baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Mercado.
