The Grand Junction Rockies got a superb performance from pitcher Jan Stead, but the Las Vegas (Rk+) Hustle still won the game, 3-1. Stead threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. With the win, the Hustle improved to 10-20.

Las Vegas (Rk+) used a timely hit from Val Saldana to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hustle ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Watch and learn," said Saldana. "This is what good pitching looks like."
