Rangers Score Late to Upend Cubs, 6-4
The Texas (Rk+) Rangers overcame a pretty good performance by Chicago (Rk+) right fielder Armando Damasco, beating the Cubs, 6-4, at Harbingers Ballpark. Damasco was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Picking up his 1st save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Allen Flynn. The win for the Rangers raised their record to 17-14.

Texas (Rk+) used the timely hitting of Francisco Cansino to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rangers on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments to the Texas (Rk+) Daily News, Cansino said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
