Phillies Win Close Shave, 3-2
|
The Philadelphia (Rk+) Phillies dealt the Ogden Raptors a 3-2 loss in 11 innings at Ballpark of Seymour. Ross Garabedian was the star on offense. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win for the Phillies lifted their record to 21-14.
Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, 25-year old right fielder Josh Riddle had a chance to be the hero. Ogden pitcher Roberto Quiroz wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Riddle grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Phillies had themselves a thrilling win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Garabedian said.
