Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old left fielder Rick Reid, the Helena Brewers stopped the Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians, 4-1, in 9 innings. The Brewers raised their record to 17-22.

The Brewers got a big boost from third baseman Mike Shank who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Guardians hurler Greg Siver. It was his 2nd walk of the season and put Helena on top, 1-0.

Helena manager Justin Hollingsworth commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
