The Texas (Rk+) Rangers beat the Grand Junction Rockies, 9-5, at Suplizio Field. Texas (Rk+) first baseman Justin Finster led the way. He went 2 for 3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Alex Casas was the winner. He's now 3-1. The loser was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Morgan. With the win, Texas (Rk+) upped its record to 28-12.

Nick Bobo had a big bases-clearing triple for the Rangers in the top of the second inning. With Texas (Rk+) leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Morgan and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 4-0.
