Brewers Lose By a Run at Portland
The Portland Tigers picked up a win at Hackers Ballpark, courtesy of Jesus Rayas. The right-hander helped his team stop the Helena Brewers, 2-1. At 24-13, the Tigers find themselves in second place in the South.

Jorge Alvarez was 1-1 with a walk for Portland. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Tim Hamlin. It was his 20th walk of the season.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Portland manager Allen Franklin said.
