In a tight affair between the Great Falls Voyagers and the Grand Junction Rockies, pitcher Alan Rimmer was in the zone. The Great Falls left-hander helped his team win the game, 2-0. Rimmer picked up the win for Great Falls, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Luis Cartagena earned the save, his 2nd, for the Voyagers.
Levi Wanamaker dealt the Rockies a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 3rd and Great Falls leading 1-0, Wanamaker hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Rimmer said.
The Voyagers now have a record of 26-14.
