The umbrellas came out during the Portland-Philadelphia (Rk+) contest at Hackers Ballpark.

The Portland Tigers got production up and down the lineup while beating the Philadelphia (Rk+) Phillies, 14-3. One standout was shortstop Bobby Garcia. Garcia, who is tied for 2nd in the PIO in bases on balls with 31, went 2 for 2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Gabe Vasquez, the winning pitcher, is now 1-0. He went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 2. Óscar Chuna earned the save, his 1st.

With Portland leading 10-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Garcia came up to bat against Philadelphia (Rk+) pitcher Jordan Cifuentes. Garcia hit a splitter to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Tigers on top, 14-1.

"It's not about individual awards," Garcia told a Portland Bulletin reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."

The win makes Portland 21-19.
