Pierce Helps Voyagers Run Win Streak to 8
Great Falls put its winning streak on the line.

The Great Falls Voyagers stopped the Grand Junction Rockies, 9-0, behind an impressive performance from Andy Pierce. The 21-year old left fielder made life miserable for Grand Junction pitching. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. This win makes it 8 in a row for Great Falls.

With Great Falls leading 4-0 in the top of the fifth, Pierce came up to bat against Grand Junction pitcher Tony Flores. Pierce hit a curveball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Voyagers on top, 8-0.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Great Falls skipper Harry Andreotta.
