The Portland Tigers got a superb performance from pitcher Orlando Casas, but the Billings Mustangs still won the game, 4-2. Casas threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Sean Stevens locked down his 5th save. The defeat makes Portland 24-18.

Had Eric Taddei not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Taddei hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Mustangs.

Taddei called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
