Behind an impressive start by Tony Perez, Cleveland (Rk+) beat Orem, 3-2. The save went to Ivan Puentes, his 2nd this season. With the victory, the Guardians upped their record to 30-16.
Cleveland (Rk+) used the timely hitting of Mike Barker to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Guardians on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame remarks, Guardians manager Andy Robles praised his team for their performance during their current winning streak. "Let the good times roll," he said.
