Martyak Excels in 7-3 Cleveland (Rk+) Win
|
The Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians grabbed a win, 7-3, over the Washington (Rk+) Nationals at Swine Ballpark. Cleveland (Rk+) third baseman Pat Martyak was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Zaire Anderson earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The first-place Guardians sport a record of 28-19.
Martyak had a key at-bat for Cleveland (Rk+) early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 12th double of the season and gave Cleveland (Rk+) an early 1-0 lead.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Martyak. "I think we showed that here."
